Cilantro Recalled Over Salmonella Fears
The AP (1/29) reported, “A Central California company is recalling four brands of fresh cilantro because they may be contaminated with salmonella.” On Friday, “Sabor Farms in Salinas announced the recall” of “cilantro…sold between Jan. 14 and Jan. 28 under the labels Nature’s Reward, Ocean Mist, Tanimura & Antle, and Queen Victoria.” The San Jose Mercury News (1/29) reported, “To date, no illnesses have been reported for the cilantro grown by Tanimura & Antle, which has been on store shelves since Jan. 14, the health department said.”
